W.E.L.F.
A zine
W.E.L.F. or "WEST END LIBERATION FRONT" is a broadsheet zine published out of Portland, Maine. The project began in 2023 and is going strong as of December 2024. WELF is local Portland art, focusing on DIY creations, comics, graffiti, and interviews. Zines are sold and distributed locally in Portland as well as through the mail and by hand. While doing some research we discovered that W.E.L.F. even offered Snow Day Delivery Service one year. You can buy W.E.L.F. in Portland at any of Portland's First Friday events or at Strange Maine.

The zine stays up to date with Portland's music scene via a show list, which is wonderful. W.E.L.F. also publishes interviews with people of interest and likes to share creative nonfiction about events in Portland.
