Electro Acoustic Mechanics

A music production studio, DIY venue, and community space

Electro Acoustic Mechanics is a collectively run community recording studio, practice space, and DIY music venue in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It is run by the Electro Acoustic Mechanics Studio Collective. The collective intends to make music recording accessible to artists with reclaimed equipment. The recording studio is fully analog and aimed at local bands, musicians, and visiting artists. As of November 20th, 2024, they are in the process of opening and building a wait list for their membership applications. A mission statement from their social media:

"We are a recording and rehearsal studio for community members to learn about, make, record, perform, and distribute their music. Once open - members will have access to a well-furbished space for practicing and teaching, as well as analog recording equipment and people who can support them in using it.

We’re inspired by DIY recording studios and want to create a hub for teachers, musicians, and students to connect and collaborate. EAM is also developing plans to invite visiting artists for residencies, and to host workshops and events for local and touring musicians on our stage."
